Frequently Asked Questions
Orders & Shipping
Can you ship my order the same day I place it?
Orders are typically processed and shipped within 1–2 business days. Backordered items may take longer.
If I place my order on a Friday, when will it ship?
Orders placed on Friday typically ship the following Monday. Canada Post does not pick up packages on weekends or most holidays.
Where will my order ship from?
Most products ship from our location in Nova Scotia.
Will I receive tracking information?
Yes — most orders ship via Canada Post and you will receive tracking information by email once your order has shipped.
Are there extra charges for oversized or heavy items?
Yes — the shipping charge for oversized and heavy items is listed on the product page. Please allow one additional business day for processing on these items.
What about shipping damage?
All shipments are transit insured. If your delivery arrives damaged, do not accept the shipment without advising the courier and ensuring they note the damage on the delivery form. File a claim immediately with the courier company and contact us right away.
Important: Do not sign for or accept any damaged products — once signed for, the product becomes yours and we are unable to claim it as damaged through the shipper.
Returns & Cancellations
What is your return policy?
All sales are final — no returns.
Are there fees for cancelling an order?
- If you cancel an order placed by credit card or PayPal, a 3% processing fee will be charged.
- If the order has already shipped, shipping fees will also be deducted from any refund.
- If you refuse a package, any fees and additional shipping charges incurred will be deducted from your refund.
- Shipping charges are non-refundable once the product has shipped.
Warranty

How do I make a warranty claim?
- Provide digital images showing conclusive proof of the defect.
- Submit proof of the date of original purchase.
Please note: the warranty does not cover damage resulting from accident, misuse, abuse, tampering, unreasonable use, or normal wear and tear. In the event that a product must be returned for inspection and repair/replacement, the owner must assume the cost and liability of freight.

International Orders (U.S.A.)
Do you ship internationally?
We currently ship internationally to the U.S.A. only. International orders are shipped via Canada Post, or by trucking company for larger items.
Will I have to pay customs or duties?
Orders shipped outside Canada will likely incur brokerage fees, customs fees, tariffs, duties, and/or other fees imposed by your country. Wild Coast Camping Gear is not responsible for these fees — they are not included in your shipping charges and must be paid by the recipient. A Tax ID may be required to clear customs.
If you have doubts about additional fees, please contact your local customs office before placing your order.
What about oversized items shipped internationally?
Oversized and heavy items may incur additional shipping charges and, in some cases, may not be available for international shipping. You will be contacted if additional charges apply.
What if my package is stolen after delivery?
If your package is stolen due to a no-signature or drop-off delivery request, Wild Coast Camping Gear is not responsible.
Tent Care & Condensation
Why does internal condensation occur?
The main source of tent condensation is your breath. When you sleep, you exhale approximately 1 litre of water vapour per person per night — and that moisture gets trapped by the outermost wall of your tent with nowhere to go. Two people means roughly 2 litres of condensation, and so on.
Other contributing factors include storing wet clothes or gear inside the tent, cooking inside, or camping near a stream, lake, or other wet area — especially on humid, windless nights.
How can you prevent condensation?
The best defence is ventilation. Leave your windows open a crack at night to allow water vapour to escape. Where you camp also matters — if you’re near water, open the windows more, as condensation is more likely. Conditions, ventilation, tent size, number of occupants, and setup all have a significant effect on condensation levels. Sometimes, when the weather just isn’t cooperating, condensation is unavoidable.
What if it’s raining?
You can still leave the tent windows open a crack, or the door slightly ajar on extended tents. On nights when rain isn’t expected, try unclipping the rain fly to maximize airflow and reduce moisture buildup inside.

What is the BunduTop made from?
The BunduTop features full aluminium construction with a durable 300gsm Riptech canvas that is UV resistant to prevent fading. The tent seals completely when closed, providing a full dust- and waterproof seal.
- Wrap-around awning at a 45° angle for ventilation in poor weather with maximum water deflection.
- Mesh coated in a rubber compound for flexibility and durability.
- Raw aluminium roof sheet for maximum heat reflection — keeps the interior cooler even in direct sunlight.
- 2,000 lb winch motor lifts and lowers the tent using 3mm Dyneema rope on a pulley system.
- Foam-backed roof lining absorbs moisture and condensation. A carpet under the mattress is recommended as insulation in extremely cold conditions.
- Built-in base frame adds strength and versatility — bolts directly to load bars or a roof rack.
